Michelin Owners' Event 2018

Monterey Car Week: Michelin Owners' Event, Friday - Sunday, Sept 7-9, 2018

Recently announced:  Michelin will be the official tire of  the IMSA’s premier series, beginning in 2019! And Bay Area Motor Works is following in the footsteps of the IMSA, making Michelin their official tire brand! Michelin hosts several notable events each year and the number is growing rapidly!  Bay Area Motor Works just participated in Michelin’s most recent event in Monterey. While there, William had the opportunity to experience the exceptional quality of Michelin tires first hand on the racetrack (and he was very impressed)! Always eager to stay informed, he also socialized with professional racers, engineers, the Porsche factory team, and even members of the American division of Michelin’s tire engineers from South Carolina! Overall, the September Michelin event was an extraordinary experience and a wonderful opportunity for Bay Area Motor Works to be a part of.

Vodden the Hell Are We Doing? 2012

Team Picture24 Hours of LeMons: Thunderhill Raceway Park, Willows, Ca. Saturday & Sunday Sept 15-16, 2012

24 hours of LeMons is a series of nationwide races that were coined in 2006 as a spoof of the historic 24 Hours of Le Mans series. Originally inspired by the Double 500, it transitioned to a series of endurance races that can last up to 24 hours and are bound by a unique set of rules and a set price limit on the car entered. The results are races full of non-traditional cars barging around the track. Team Uber Vogel's car was originally purchased for $200 in 2007 and fielded in the early Altamont LeMons races. The team had a blast during this installment of 24 Hours of LeMons titled "Vodden the Hell Are We Doing?" at Thunderhill Raceway Park. Click here to view our photo album of the event.

Team Uber Vogel consists of five talented drivers: William Sverdlov, Peter Congistre, Rich Hudnut, Christopher Leal and Rod Diridon, Jr.

Button Turrible 2013

Image of Race Patch24 Hours of LeMons: Buttonwillow Raceway, Buttonwillow, Ca. Saturday & Sunday June 29-30, 2013

The 1987 Mercedes 190E, affectionately named, "Hans-Am" entered its 14th race bringing its competition miles to 9,635. Most memorably, a weekend heatwave made this race even more intense than anticipated. With temperatures skyrocketting over 105 degrees outdoors, the track temperatures at Buttonwillow Raceway in Southern California, were pushing 120 degrees. The team drivers had to handle not only the stiffling ambiant temperatures, but they also had to endure the additional heat and weight of their race suits and helmets. Despite the weather, Team Uber Vogel put in over 14 hours of driving and completed 228 laps. Click here to view pictures of "Hans-Am" from Button Turrible 2013.

Team Uber Vogel is looking forward to the 2013 edition of Vodden the Hell Are We Doing? at Thunderhill Raceway Park in September.
