Button Turrible 2013

24 Hours of LeMons: Buttonwillow Raceway, Buttonwillow, Ca. Saturday & Sunday June 29-30, 2013

The 1987 Mercedes 190E, affectionately named, "Hans-Am" entered its 14th race bringing its competition miles to 9,635. Most memorably, a weekend heatwave made this race even more intense than anticipated. With temperatures skyrocketting over 105 degrees outdoors, the track temperatures at Buttonwillow Raceway in Southern California, were pushing 120 degrees. The team drivers had to handle not only the stiffling ambiant temperatures, but they also had to endure the additional heat and weight of their race suits and helmets.
